UFOs over New Jersey-First Report

I actually broke this story on the Internet with a much appreciated published letter to P3N.org's 24hr UFO reporting center. I have since followed it up with some preliminary street investigations. As time passes I hope to compile as much evidence of the sighting as I can. This is just a preliminary report.

It was likely the most witnessed UFO event since the Phoenix lights. Although similarities between the two sightings have been draw, something about what took place late on July 15th, early July 16th, near Carteret New Jersey was different.

Hundreds of people have now come forward to various sources, all telling virtually identical stories with few exceptions. As many as 20 golden balls of light, danced high in the sky above the New Jersey Turnpike, the Arthur Kill River, and the surrounding areas near the town of Carteret.

As far North as Fort Lee came this common report by a 34 year old man walking his dog; "These two orange balls, they stood out like tennis balls on a black tarp, just boom... right there! They hovered and then started circling each other, and just shot off."

Police officers in the town of Carteret recorded several minutes of video of the event. So far at least three known videos exist of the glowing orbs, and rumors abound that there are more. Including some more telling.

"The lights were just so peaceful." Said more than one witness. Others believed they saw a miracle, or a message from God. An 82 year old Grandmother spoke wide eyed of "machines from God" in her native Spanish, as she recalled the event to a group of people outside the local quick mart.

The small group of locals gathered, were all dumbfounded by what they had seen. A birthday party had spilled out onto the streets that night to see the event.

Mike, a 24 year old college student at Rutgers University said, "I got in my car and chased them as they went off. I wanted to see how long I could keep them in view. But all up and down the streets cars were stopped, I couldn't get anywhere. Everyone was outside their cars like.."my God what is that?"...it was really freaking me out. These things were alive that's for sure, there was intelligent control. They made circles, triangles, giant V formations, one time they made what looked like a yin-yang or something."

Mike's sister Tina, and his girlfriend Tanya who coincidentally saw the event from the New Jersey Turnpike with Tanya's Father Rush, said. Tina said, "All the cars pulled off the Turnpike, so we did too. At first I got out and was like..'What the..' then I though the formation was skydivers or something. Only they weren't falling, they were going across the sky right at us, but still sort of away. Like I was East, and they were going North East for example. Anyway, they just went of into the night eventually, but just before they moved into a V shape.

Rush, 52, was driving the girls to the party to meet Mike because "I'm kinda the designated driver" When heading down the Turnpike towards the exit he saw; "bright glowing circles of light. I say a circle because to me they looked like contained light, in other words not a flare or something burning. They only flickered from the air currents. It was funny, they looked rigid at times, like they were attached to a solid object, then all of a sudden they would change position with each other. It was very strange for sure."

So far no matter what witness you talk to, they tell the same story of the event, almost without fail. Some people are now coming forward with information about sightings of the actual craft. Several people a little farther south now claim to have seen a giant V shaped craft over the tops of homes and buildings.

We are currently investigating this matter deeper, as more and more witnesses keep coming forward.
