We asked ten people on the streets of Manhattan: Did you know that the Russians and French militaries have released studies that claim some UFOs are actually extraterrestrial craft? And what to you think of it?

Brett K.34-Miami, FL-"No I didn't really hear anything about that. I guess it is somewhat significant, no?"

Kirsten M. 25-Brooklyn, NY-"No, I really don't follow that sort of thing. But I'm sure that it's a possibility that (UFO's) are alien ships."

Stuart W. 44-Chicago, IL-"I saw something about that on MSNBC, but I didn't catch the whole thing. I think the US should give it up anyhow, everybody knows they are hiding something."

Allan B. 63-Neptune, NJ-"Since I'm retired US military I can tell you that both the French and Russians are just trying to stir up funding. It's an old tactic, we've done it too."

Cathy R. 40-San Jose, CA-"That's good, maybe we can do the same soon and end all this secrecy."

Orlando P. 28-Easton, PA-"I never heard it, no. But I think it's good. I have seen lots of UFO videos and believe the government is hiding something. Maybe with enough international pressure, they will crack."

Jean R. 33-Montreal, PQ-"In Canada, a lot of people believe the government is hiding something about UFOs. I was happy to see the French report, and I hope in Canada and the USA they can soon do the same. It is for the better if the people know the truth."

Tina R. 19-Nassau, NY-"No I didn't know. When was that? I really don't follow too much stuff about UFOs. I mean, I believe they are real, but I...Won't really care about them until I see one I guess. Or unless the President says they are real. I don't really care what some foreign country said, since when do we trust them anyway? Maybe they are just lying to see if we know something."

George H. 51-Fort Lee, NJ-"Yes I did actually. I was very pleased with the French report. Sooner or later the US will have to say something. If the French, Russians, Chinese and even Chilean and Mexican governments have their way, the UN will undoubtedly force the US into some kind of partial disclosure. It can't go on forever right? I just hope I live to see it."

Martin F. 42-Baltimore, MD-"Yes, I think it's great. I read a little about it on the Internet, but I didn't read the actual report. I bet the NSA is a little worried. I read that they are getting heat from the people about UFO documents. I'm starting to see more legitimate news sources covering the topic, and I really think that is the key. The more news stations that carry the story, the more people who will want to know more about the subject."
