The public eye: Vol.-3 This section will feature a non-Ufologist's point of view. A voice of those who are not deeply involved with Ufology or the paranormal. We asked 10 people on the streets of Manhattan, what they thought really happened at Roswell in 1947. Here is what they had to say. Carley G. 34 Reno NV. "Well, it's funny you should ask that because my husband and I just rented the movie Roswell last month. We were watching the History Channel, and they had all this UFO and alien stuff on, so we went to rent the movie. I can tell you that before I had no real opinion, now I know for a fact that the military hid the crash of a UFO." Steve F. 55 Boston MA. "Yea, I guess something crashed, I don't know what though. I read last that it was a secret weather balloon, but I don't know if I buy into that. At the very least I think it was a German or Russian spy plane. But than again, at that time they would have publicized it to no end. Just like the Russians made a spectacle when they shot down one of our spy planes." Edmund R. 26 San Antonio TX. "I really don't know. I have hear stuff about it, but I don't know what I believe." Heather V. 23 Long Island City NY. "Hmmmm...I guess it could have been a UFO. It wouldn't be the first time our government has lied to us. I might be hard to hide that after all these years though." Samantha R. 28 Brooklyn NY. "I thought they said it was a weather balloon? I know some people believe other wise, but I'm not sure myself. I really don't think about that stuff too much, it's kind scary." Jeff J. 61 Hawthorn NJ. "An alien spacecraft crashed at Roswell. Nothing more, nothing less. I was in the military for eight years, I can tell you we hid everything. It wouldn't be hard to hide Roswell, we hid the Manhattan Project from the public, and some 60,000 people were working on the project. National Security is the most powerful weapon the US has. It is what has won us every war, it is what made us a super power." Greg S. 39 Bronx NY. "I think it was a UFO, but unless they release the secrets no one will ever believe it." Mitchell G. 29 Albany NY. "I know the last military explanation was a weather balloon, but I just don't' believe it. Too many people say they saw something weird. If it was just one, five, or even ten different people, I might doubt it, but there are like forty witnesses who say they saw either strange wreckage, or alien bodies. If it was a murder trial, there would be enough witness testimony to get the criminal fried." Sarajejeve G. 40 Morristown NJ. "I don't know much about it, but I can say that I believe in UFOs. I believe that the governments of the world know they are real, but are scared to tell us for whatever reason."
